Epoch: A Distinctive Period of Time
A coaching journey often marks a distinctive or impactful period of time during which an individual or team gains clarity about themself or others around them. It is a time marked by significant growth or understanding which can act as a catalyst for action or change.
Impact that Lasts a Lifetime
Coaching should set you on a trajectory toward your goals and, over time, create impact that leads to increased engagement, productivity, efficiency, and profitability. While the coaching engagement may only be a specific period of time - an epoch - its impact may last a lifetime.
About Me
Coaching individuals and teams is what I do best. I’ll use tried-and-true coaching techniques and tools to help you gain clarity about what you do best, and together we’ll create a plan to achieve your goals and move you forward.
I know what it takes to make a career transition.
I spent 20 years living the military lifestyle as a spouse to my now-retired Marine, re-inventing myself and my career at every duty station. This experience fueled my passion for helping others transition, pivot and accelerate in their career. Today, I have coached CEOs, leaders, and teams at organizations ranging from Fortune 50 companies to small, non-profit, and private businesses.
I have received 150+ hours of coach training and 10+ hours of mentor coach training. My coaching credentials include the following:
International Coaching Federation (ICF) ACC Coach
Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach
NCDA Certified Career Services Provider
My experience includes 600+ hours of individual coaching with successful, mid-career business leaders looking to accelerate leadership skills or pivot in their careers.
I’ve coached nearly 100 CEOs, managers, and their teams using a strengths-based approach to increase productivity and profitability, and currently coach 2 peer groups of owners/CEOs.
As the Director of Coaching, I steered the career and leadership development for thousands of business professionals at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, where I led a team of 10 professional coaches for our top-rated MBA program portfolio.
I trained over 1,000 military service members and retirees on the job search process as they transitioned to civilian careers.
I earned my B.A. in Journalism and my M.Ed. in Higher Education from Iowa State University and Arizona State University, respectively.
My Approach
My role as a coach is to be a strategic thought partner every step of the way. In order to create impact for you or your team, I’ll ask thoughtful questions and ask you to dig deeper to help you gain clarity. How do you operate? What’s your why? What’s holding you back or getting in your way? How, specifically, can you move forward toward your goal?
I utilize a consultative coaching method – that is, one that prompts thoughtful dialogue while providing personalized strategies and expert advice to help meet the goals of the client.
I’ll challenge and support you along the way, providing the framework and resources to unlock your full potential for lasting results.
